4. Why should I apply to the Teen Commission?
Here is your chance to have a direct influence on the town in which you live, play and maybe even work. It is also the chance to get hands on experience as to how government operates. It's a great way to meet other people, and learn how to work together as a group. It also looks great on your resume or college application.

5. How can I make my voice heard?
The best way is to show up at a Teen Commission Meeting and speak to an issue. At the beginning of every meeting is an "oral communication" portion at which any member of the public can talk for 3 minutes on any item that is not on that meeting's agenda. It's a great way to introduce a topic for future consideration.

If you can't make it to the meeting, please send comments to the commission or participate by submitting an idea to the to make your views known.

You can also write directly to the cupertino city council, your state legislative assemblyperson, senator or the Governor of California.

At a federal level, you can write to your senators, representative or the President of the United States Go to our external links section to get more information.
